[Action/Video] Transmission 006 - In Which Lady Vastra Gets Into A Little Dust-Up
[Action/Accidental Video]
[Perhaps it had been her previous encounter with Edmundo 'The Self-Proclaimed Blade' that had Vastra unwilling to exit her apartment without carrying her sword with her. Truth be told, whenever she's out and about her bustle hides more than just padding, so she's never completely unarmed. But until a few days had passed without any vandalism-related incidents, Vastra mentally refuses to go anywhere without her sword.]
[Fortunately.]
[Early in the afternoon, as she's heading for the stables, Vastra is approached by four droids with clear intentions of subduing her. Their intentions don't last very long--Vastra made a hobby of taking apart sentient machines before her time in Luceti. Ones with artificial intelligence weren't exactly difficult to dispatch.]
[She stands, a little winded from the battle (it's been a while since she's had four targets at once) and surrounded by droid parts.]
I think not. [She mutters to herself as she examines her sword and rolls her eyes in supreme annoyance. Of course her sword is damaged, it had always been damaged after every dealing with a Cyberman. The hem of her gown has also been completely ripped out, in addition to the underarms of both sleeves, and her lip is split--she is a very irate mess right about now.]
[And what's more, Vastra now realizes that her journal was recording the whole thing. Grimacing, she quickly shuts it and ends the feed.]
[Intentional Video]
I had been wondering how long it would be before the Malnosso attempted to get my attention with some of their robotic servants. However I did not appreciate the method of the invitation at all. And neither did my sword.
[She brings said weapon into frame. In places, it closely resembles a bread knife, there are so many dents in the blade.] Yes, I know I should simply take it to the weapons shop, however this blade is of very particular intrinsic value and I don't want to leave it just anywhere without knowing it is being properly cared for. I am hoping to speak with someone directly regarding doing a repair.

I suppose I would have to ask what you would plan to do with a vial of my blood. It might not be what you're looking for-- [She switches on the video, perhaps as a reminder of what she looks like.] --if you're hoping for a human sampling.

A man who thirsts must drink… and I do enjoy a little variety every now and again.
[He changes format and similarly invites her to have a look at whom she may be doing business with.]
video
How large of a vial do you need?
video
He would never trade the wine in his cellar for blood - nor would he need to -, but he was both familiar and fond of the coppery tang of it when sinking his teeth into a fresh kill before later roasting it halfway. Or licking the blades of his weapons clean. Or while lavishing his attention on a bedfellow just a little overzealously, perhaps. The high is empowering.]
'twill be provided for you when we meet. [Which he'd rather like to. He could always use another project to keep his restless hands busy. Not that they were ever at loss for what to do.] I believe that one the length of my hand shall suffice.

video -> action
[And in half an hour's time, there she is-- lizard woman in a Victorian walking suit, sword over her shoulder in its baldric.]
aaaaand ACTION
It's a curious manner of dress to him, pompously elegant. Maybe she was a creature seeking a sense of belonging among humans by mimicking them, and in doing so, attempted to hide her true nature. Or maybe it was a disguise used for darker purposes. There was plenty of room to guess -- but easy as it would be, he doesn't make any assumptions about her quite yet other than those he applies to all in Luceti.]
I should hope I have not kept you waiting long.
[He wears a neutral expression but for the gently amused smile of his.]
Action
No Isaac, she just loves fabulous gowns.]No, not at all. [Vastra gives him a polite smile, forming her own conclusions about the way he has arrived. She had been known to wear a hooded cloak in her time in London as well, but with the cold weather Vastra needed all the sunlight she could get. Perhaps he didn't want to be seen in the plaza for some reason.]
Let's see this vial, shall we?
no subject
[He purrs lowly. Then a clawed, gloved hand of his slips into his cloak and he draws the vial, tilting it as he holds it out for her inspection. His gaze lingers on her, expectant albeit patient. The vial's about the same diameter as the base of his thumb if not smaller.]
no subject
Very well. Your terms are acceptable.
no subject
[He drawls before chuckling and canting his head. But he will save his expression of sly, feline contentment for when he returns home with a vial full of blood.]
Now if you would be so kind, I should like to study the blade that you would have me mend. [He keeps his hand extended after she has taken the vial, his palm turned up. There are a great many people and things Isaac does not feel inclined to show respect towards, but a well-crafted weapon is not one of them.]
no subject
It's suffered knicks, but I'm not willing to overlook them until they become worse.
no subject
A wise decision. [He sheathes it in a smooth, decisive motion, lifting his eyes to meet hers.] I will have it for you by sunset... and I assure you, 'twill be as if it has never seen a single battle.
